Research Project: Multilateral Security Institutions and Deterrence in East Asia

 

Satoshi Ito holds a B.A. in Physics from Tohoku University, and a Master of Public Policy, Professional Degree Program from the University of Tokyo. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan in 2008 and worked at the International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation Division of the General Foreign Policy Bureau. After he left MOFA, he worked for six years as a chief policy secretary for Yasuhisa Shiozaki, a member of the House of Representatives. Then, he joined Aoyama Shachu Corporation from May 2020 to June 2023, and as a co-Chief Operating Officer (COO), he has consulted for many elected officials. During his time at Harvard, he will conduct research on multilateral security institutions and deterrence in East Asia.
