Research Project: The State of and Countermeasures against Violent Extremism in Europe and the U.S.

 

Hiroki Taya holds a B.A. in Economics from Keio University. He has worked for the National Police Agency (NPA) since 2014 and most recently served as a Deputy Counsellor in the Office of Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary, in the Cabinet Secretariat. His other previous positions include the Section Manager of the Public Safety Department and Foreign Affairs Department in Kyoto Prefectural Police, and Chief Official of the Office of Victims Support at the Commissioner General’s Secretariat and of the Security Department in the NPA. During the 2023-24 academic year, Mr. Taya will conduct research on the state of and countermeasures against violent extremism in the West.
