Research Project: Energy Security, Job Creation, and Community Revitalization in the U.S.

Yutaka Yamaguchi graduated from Waseda University with a B.A. in Commerce, and joined TV Asahi in 1992. Since then, he has worked as a news anchor, covering a wide range of topics including natural disasters, politics, and economic issues. Recently, his reporting has focused on energy projects that coexist with local communities. He highlights the development of new energy installations that create jobs and revitalize regions, while also maintaining a sense of community, advancing ecological goals,  and increasing energy self-sufficiency. He is also interested in the development of emerging energy technologies in the AI era, such as Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS), Perovskite solar cells, and Fusion energy.
