Timothy Cichanowicz
Research Project:
Filtering Special Interests: How Institutions Shape the Politics of Trade Securitization
Dr. Cichanowicz received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science at the University of Kansas, and his B.A. in Political Science and East Asian Studies at Ohio University. His research interests are in international political economy, foreign policy, trade, and economic security. His latest publications appear in International Relations of the Asia-Pacific and Law & Geoeconomics, and he is an affiliated researcher with the University of Tokyo’s Economic Security Intelligence Lab. At Harvard, his project will focus on how democracies invoke national security to intervene in their economies with a particular focus on Japan and the United States.
