Takuma Takahashi

Takuma Takahashi is Principal Deputy Director of the Asia and Pacific Division at Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). He received an M.Eng. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. During his career at METI, he has worked on trade policy, aerospace industry policy, energy policy, and human resource strategy. He previously played a leading role in launching the Fukushima Arts & Culture Promotion Office, where he developed international artist-in-residence programs to support post-disaster recovery through arts and culture. Building on this experience, his research focuses on designing sustainable public–private ecosystems that enable arts and cultural initiatives to thrive beyond government-funded reconstruction programs.
