His lab is responsible for deconvolving tectonic and earthquake cycle signals across the Japanese Islands to identify the coupled subduction zone interface that ruptured during the great Tohoku earthquake of 2011. His papers have been published in major journals, such as the Journal of Geophysical Research, Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America, Terra Nova, Geophysical Research Letters, Geology, Earth & Planetary Science Letters, Journal of Structural Geology, Geophysical Research Letters, and Computers & Geosciences. Professor Meade has taught at Harvard since 2005, and was the recipient of the Reginald A. Daly postdoctoral fellowship in Harvard’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences during 2004-05.
