#  Congratulations to Jessamyn Abel, on the publication of her new book, The International Minimum: Creativity and Contradiction in Japan's Global Engagement, 1933-1964 (University of Hawaii Press, 2015)

She is currently an Assistant Professor in Asian Studies and History at Pennsylvania State University. She received her Ph.D. in Government from Columbia in 2004, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow during the 2008-09 academic year.
